TWEED RUFFLE SKIRTS
Our cosy Tweed Ruffle skirts add a modern twist to an ancient fabric. are lined so they feel smooth against your skin and close with brass poppers, allowing the fit to be adjustable. They can be worn high on the waist or down on the hips. Over leggings or with tights and a pair of boots.

This Skirt is made from Harris Tweed, lined with a black rayon mix & embellished with custom Barocco Poppers.

MY STORY
And so it all began....
After a long walk exploring those vast Highland Moors, breathing the crisp air, drinking crystal clear water from the brooks, running from midges and absorping all the scenic wonders of the Scottish Outer Hebrides.
Such exhibitions are traditionally followed by tea and cake with Granny McIntosh. Her wee house is on the Isle of Lewis and looks out over the ocean. On one particular visit, Granny McIntosh gifted me a beautiful Cream, Harris Tweed coat, woven in Lewis and designed and stitched herself over 50 years ago. There is nothing like a tweed coat for those blustery Scottish days and it's still in perfect condition.
From then on, my love with Harris tweed was borne. I began visiting the mills, buying the cloth and creating unique designs I couldn't find elsewhere.

Our silk pieces are flame retardant so great for fire performers.
We use daylight and no flash or filters when taking photographs. Colours of products may vary due to computer settings. On occasion the silk may have small signs of wear that show the beauty of its age. We photograph anything we notice.
